tomq 30
I know theres not many whippet fans on here, but does anyone know the fastest line of pedigree whippets? Quote Link to post
whip x grey 276
its a hard on to call ???? as whippets run in weight classes,,,,,,,i,e ped whippet can be 18lb ,,the other can be 28lb,,,,,but the 28lber will have to give the 18lber ( 10yards head start in race),,,,28lber get beat by 4 yards in race,,,,18lber get all the credit for winning race,,,,,( but who was fastest ????) I,E IF BOTH DOG,S WERE SLIPPED AFTER A BIG EARS,,,THE 28LBER WILL BE MOST LIKLY TO TURN IT ,,,THAN THE 18BLER OFF LEVELS,,,,AS THE SMALLER WHIPPET WINNING SUP THIS AND THAT,GETTIN BIGGEST HEAD START AS HANYCAPP SUITS THEM,,THE OTHER DOG ACTUALLY QUICKER ,,,,when i choose a pup i go for the best,,,,not the racing dog winning off the back off the handycapp (i,e) BIG-- head starts,,,,as iam after the quickest not the one sitting off silly marks ( same applys to greyhound racing ,,,i will never pick grey that wins off 10,,,,,but i would pick the grey that closed the gap to 1 leanth in 2nd ) the fastest ped whippet will be the one thats breaking track records off scratch,,,,not the one winning open,s with the big head starts good luck (hope u find the one ,,but it could change year to year as younger dogs will be biting heels off older dogs,,,its a hard one to call ) Quote Link to post
fresh earth 47
Agree , Realisticaly a champ wont necisarily be sired by a champ or produce one. Yes a champ will throw faster pups than the averege racer ill chuck a few links on the now to some of the champs up here some nice fast dogs. Quote Link to post
