wuyang 513
I've got a whippet x beddy/grey collie, she's 7months, 18 and half inch and showing a keen interest, thrown more to the whippet, fine coat etc but she's not too bothered by cold or rain. Lovely looking dog. Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,216
Mine takes, snow, sleet, rain cold and mud in his stride, he''s out every day in all weathers, works thick cover, collides with a fair few things and take some knocks, never complains, never slows down and has prey drive like a dog possessed. Good nose, quick, plenty of stamina and a great character. My only complaints would be he was a f****r to train and that the way he approaches life he probably wont make old bones. And you really wont believe this but he took it upon himself to retrieve a red fella at 10/11 months of age single handed. Quote Link to post
johnny boy68 11,726
Seen some good whippet x's and am lucky enough to have watched a pure mature and become a very promising dog that would be welcomed into my team any day If you want a whippet fella......you get one its your choice Edited to say the whippet I was refering to is a Mike Brown bred dog Quote Link to post
Moll. 1,770
I don't blame your sister for wanting one, i did and eventually got one. Not being sexist here, but they are ideal for a lady hunter, nice size to control, and to carry back to the motor if anything happens. Plus i presume she wants one to be a companion dog also...again i could not ask for better in that department, funny, affectionate and intelligent, never boring, and don't take up much room. Mine shivers in the cold if stood about, but when working, it never bothers him. He has seen a fair amount of work and has NEVER had an injury, i wonder why people think they would, the light frame means they practically glide over the ground. A few scrapes but his skin is better than most lurchers i've seen....never torn. Quote Link to post
