hi there mate, one or two things im not sure if you have actually thought about, its against the rules of golf to change the playing characteristics of a club during a round of golf so these clubs could not be used for anything other than practice, im a pga professional who runs a golf club and i do lots of coaching both adults and juniors and would seriously look at marketing the club as a learning aid for new golfers or market towards pros and academies as a teaching club that can be loaned to new starters rather than having to keep a multitude of loan clubs in stock. dont know if you have had any input from your local pros but id be more than happy to give any advice i can to help and if you need to run any trials just let me know and ill help out if i can. pm me for my number if you want to have a natter about it.

regards

jonny

Also as therer seems to be a few golfers on the site if anyone would be interested in having a hunting life golf day get a thread going and ill be more than happy to organise something.

Thanks Firststrike and Brookie for your comments

Hi Jonny thanks for your very interesting comment aswell mate, but refering back to the rule book it does state in there that there will not be any moving part as the clubface strikes the ball meaning that any moving part which enhances the balls distance and performance but the Solo does not have any moving part when the clubface strikes the ball the parts are fixed tight on impact so there could be room for debate in this matter but I would not recommend any confrontation with any Club Captains or pro's that just wouldn't be any help at all but there's definatley room for leaway even from your professional point of view.

I have played at my local course with the Solo on a number of accasions and there has been nothing said so at a amatuer level I can not see any problem what so ever,My local pro has actually used it and said the same as you really that it is a good training club for juniors and seniors but I think the less abled would really benefit from it,Thanks again for your comments Jonny I will contact you nearer the launch time and i'll come down and see ye ;)

hi marco

if you look in the rule book appendix ll - design of clubs section b. adjustability " During a stipulated round, the playing characteristics of a club must not be purposely changed by adjustment or any other means (see rule 4-2)"

I do have a few ideas that you may be able to use and may find interesting towards where the best place to target with your idea.
