I take it that the idea is that the head changes the degree so that it adapts to different clubs, I think that you really need find out whether it would work as every iron is built slightly different e.g. more cavity to be more forgiving.

Another obstacle is the fact that most golf clubs will have a rule that the minimum clubs you must have are a driver, 7 iron and putter I believe and thats on the lower end of coarses, and then the other clubs that like to be traditional would'nt allow it. As for ranges why not just take your bag as you dont have to walk far? just my view but it may fit in as a novelty type thing? I would just get some decent prototypes first

Whish you all the best with it mate

Thanks for your input olim,I get your point about each iron changes slightly but as far as the lie angles vs's loft angles there has been some clever geometery involved in the design of this club,in a standard set of clubs the lie angles change 8 degrees in a full set of irons with the 'SOLO'the lie angles change 7 degrees from a 1 iron to a S/W which is not far away,as far as having minimum clubs to play golf really speaking you have every golf club in the iron range because it adjusts to any degree you want it to obviously you only have one physical club but it could adjust to 90 different clubs at one degree at a time.I understand about the driving range yes you dont have to walk anywhere but iv'e taken the 'SOLO' prototype to range many times to get the feel of club, long range shots, short game chips etc.I have a working prototype which I have hit atleast 2000 balls with and I honestly wouldn't go back to a normal set of club but I would say that lol

Carrying Your Golf Bag 18 Holes May Affect Your Club Speed and Accuracy.

A new study shows that carrying your golf clubs and walking 18 holes of golf may have a negative affect on your golf swing and performance as you play 18 holes.

Researchers had seven average golfers play a simulated game golf by walking six miles while carrying a weighted bag. After each mile the golfers hit 20 tee shots. The researchers analyzed the movements on every swing and found that as the golfers played they were "less able to achieve an appropriate weight transfer to the lead leg." This resulted in decreased club head velocity and shorter drives. As the golfers continued playing, there was also a change in the angle of the lead knee and ankle at the top the swing, which affected the accuracy of the drive.

This study reinforces the idea that proper physical conditioning has a positive affect of a golfer's swing mechanics and overall score. Improving physical fitness may be one of the most important things a golfer can do to prevent fatigue and improve their game.

Giz a bit input guys I appreciate I'm on a hunting site asking you to chalk on a golfing poll, but just a simple click on one of the seven answers will do,just need this info in for early next week, cheers marco

Just read the post right through Marco and to be fair its an awesome product if it works. The only problem i see is the 'length' of the club itself. How long is it? As a 1 iron would be a good few inches longer than the s/w for generating more power and increase of distance. I really wouldn't want to be chipping on to the green with a club the length of a 1 iron either?..

Another good point Lab-tastic and thanks for your input,The shaft length is very important like you say the length of the shaft is longer for your lower lofted clubs such as 1 to 5 irons for the extra swing speed but the shaft for the 'SOLO' is based on a 9 iron-P/W so your able to chip with comfort I understand that you would lose swing speed with the shorter shaft but a good flexed shaft should compansate + you would form a good muscle memory with using the same shaft length for every shot,Thanks Marco

Right, here goes then.

Iv'e played a decent standard of golf and if i'm honest someone paying £90 would be better off buying a good putter. I realise the club is aimed at a certain type of golfer, and maybe they might benefit from it, but i can't see how one iron can replace all the other 13. I carry a 2 iron in my bag and to suggest this club can play the same shape of shot as that with only having a 9 iron length shaft in it, well i can't see it i'm afraid. The swing plane of a 2 iron shaft is a lot flatter than a 9 iron and i don't think you would be able to get the distance of a 2 iron no matter how you swung the club. There have been lots of similar clubs on the market all claiming to lower your handicap, yet in all the years iv'e played Golf iv'e never seen anyone with one of these clubs.

I hope you do make a go of it and i'm sorry to be so negative.

ATB.
