whin 463 Posted February 13, 2011 Report Share Posted February 13, 2011 had a beardie border hanckock she too was represting scotland but saw a better stamp of a dog in marc glenns danny good beardie cross he was a bit more of an allrounder ,and a fine stamp of a dog ran him on the big feilds of eastlothain and he done not to bad , liked the true working beardies but the hancocks were to much a varient and highly strung to be easy to train for some ,there pure working beardies still in the borders of scotland and catle curs terrier collie type ,especai;ly up on the hill were they need a independant dog at times 1 Quote Link to post

whin 463 Posted February 14, 2011 Report Share Posted February 14, 2011 fallon was a 14 monnth old pup was a handy bitch caut over 3500 rabbs but not what i would want my self tried it and moved on to strong headed , as i says best beardie type ive saw were a paterson or m c glenn saw three or four of that litter leeviwe did you ever qaulify for them, did win several obeidence things but not for me realy dont need a dog trained to that standard for to catch rabbs but good crack all the same , had the brother to paddy mines was smooth nice type but all early pace and no real wind for were i stay but ideal for down the borders or up blairgowrie were rabbs were alot easier ,leardned years ago you didnt need a super obeident dog to fill a bag better dog and you as a team not trained to death , Quote Link to post
