iceman001979 1,316
just build her food up as the weeks go on try get as much protein as possible into her nice warm place for her and the pups and coming up till the birth few warm baths makes the bitch relax for what up ahead.Did you worm her yet if not give her good worming and plant fresh water and just keep eye on her in-case she gets into trouble during it Quote Link to post

scothunter 12,609
as a general rule its around 62 days, but it depends on the size of litter.small litter might go a bit extra.big litter could drop them a bit earlier.yea be good to see the pups if she takes. Quote Link to post
rocky1 942
some dogs take earlier some take later ,usally 12 day onwards but my bitch took on the 16th and the 18th,best 2 introuce the dogs 2 each other before the mateing unless they know of each other anyway Quote Link to post
Shazza 52
The bitch should be mated between the 10th & 12th days of her heat (counting the day she started to bleed as day 1). If possible put her to the dog on the 10th & 12th days. Count 9 weeks from the day she first ties with the dog and thats when you should expect the puppies to arrive tho as said they can be upto 2 days early or late but not usually more than that. A fit healthy bitch shuldn't have any problems but i always sit with mine from start to finish to make sure and it does take hours, anything upto an hour between pups being born is normal with the time getting a bit longer as the time goes on as the latter pups have further to come out Quote Link to post
revmx 35
just to let everyone know that dates have been set and she will be mated on the 11th day of her heat Quote Link to post

I'd much rather go early and have to go back a few days later than the bitch go over an have to wait for her next season to try again. Quote Link to post
