redeye jedi 39
Well gents yesterday i spent a few hours looking for some new permission, the first placed i called at was a farm and the guy said yes straight away what a great start id not been out but 15 mins. i then made my way over to a golf course 30 mins drive away, a friend had told me about the cheeky bunnies having thier breakfast not 10 yards away while they were teeing off. they guy wasn't too sure about airgunning but did allow me to snare it, as soon as i got my basc card out he let me on with the airgun. WOW 2 out of 2, at this point i should of called it a day happy with gaining 2 more permission but i deceided to press on. The next few hours was the old familiar story....... land is Let out, already got someone and plain old NO. I took my first trip up to the golf course tonight just for an hour to have a look see whats about. My HW100 is still away getting fixed so the little skeleton stocked S200 .177 came out to play. Now these rabbits aint scared of a guy swinging a driver at mach 3 a few feet away but put a lamp on them and thy're off!! i made a mental note of where they were running for ease of wire placement on my next trip. i managed to bag a few that stood still long enough to place a shot. due to the uneven ground and the lamp shy rabbits most were standing shots around the 20-30 yard mark, my shooting and range estimation was spot on tonight it all came together nicely and i can honestly say i DIDNT miss a single shot. (the sun shines on a dogs ass some days) final count was 8 fat rabbits. forgot how heavy these things can get lumping them around with guts in. either that or i had too much sand in my fanny tonight. Sorry about the pic quality, used my phone as my camera lead is missing. ATB REDEYE 1 Quote Link to post

redeye jedi 39
Thanks Si, was a real pleasure to be out again. going to try the other farm later if this rain buggers off. Yes karpman i do like this gun, i was thinking of selling it when the HW gets back but being .177 its so much better to shoot at night so its got a good home in the cabinet for a few year yet. Thanks Ron, 2 in one day was a great result. ive got a few more places to ask about so watch this space. ATB Dom Quote Link to post

rossi_j 99
Nice one red eye, out of curiosity what is your opening pitch when you ask for permision face to face (i need tips). Good work on gaining new permisions and top shooting pal, eight 20-30 yard standing kz shots without a single miss is spot on, very impressive Keep it up, I bet you cant wait to get out on the farm aswell now .atb. .ste. 1 Quote Link to post

Top tip if they're grafting dont stop them to talk give them a hand and talk while your working if the situation allows it. time is money to these guys. ATB REDEYE Quote Link to post
