Tin to Table

Recommended Posts

Hey again,

Just give me a little nudge when ya get sick of ma rubbish :whistling:

Managed to negotiate a little tea time shooting at the small copse type thing at work, Barley 20 trees and some leylandii. Holds a good few pigeon odd squizzer and if I get lucky maybe a Jackdaw or two! Downsides are I have to be discreet and can only take what I need for the pot, No real downsides then..

Anyhow taking advantage of what I have, I spotted a woody feeding happily in the ivy at almost direct eye level, Got as close as I dare around 20 yards. He made a superb dinner indeed, The S200 is earning it's keep already dam chuffed indeed.

The pigeon was taking cleanly in the head and hardly made a flap as it hit the ground, The missing feathers you can see in the picture are were I let my dog mouth it a little, He also enjoyed some of the spoils and the only thing missing a superb supper was a glass of red.

Many thanks

Very nice post mate and great photo too.

I must say that plate looks mouth watering.

Maybe you can post the recipe?

Well done on the clean head shot pal.

I like my Patterdale Zini to mouth what I shoot too sometimes buddy. It keeps him keen. He loves squizzer and bunny but is a nightmare to get off him once he locks on.

Yeah no whay ya mean about getting it off em pal! Shawn had me pigeon under his chair lol, Was a grab the back legs and pull job. He is 7 months so will forgive him now lol.

Recipe dead simple pal, No time for messing around lol. So it was a sauce from the co-op stir fry Chinese and any veg you got to hand and stir fry chuck in a pitta and devour like a greedy bword before anyone else gets a look in including the dog :whistling:

Cheers guys.

Great post mate SP, from me.

Really is no substitute for bagging your tea! Seems to taste that much better.

Regards,

Mikey.

Cheers pal, Nothing today so had to settle for some partridge from the freezer lol. Not a bad thing of course.

After eating me squizzer at tea break at work. I find my self with at least one more to deal with from a large garden lol. Will try and roast it perhaps this time.
