adam scott 1
just moved in with the misses, she has a 18 month old staff, timid as anything. never really considered taking her out, but walking her the other day and came across a pheasant shoot a couple of fields away. any way stood watching and after many shots i realized she was not bothered in the slightest. so on this basis i took her into some of my permission let her have a run and let off a shot at around 50 yards away. she did not batter an eye. to cut it short i now have been out with her around three times with the gun and she is great, even working hedgerows and flushing out a couple of rabbits. but when it comes to the crunch she does not want to know. shying away from pigeons and giving up the chase on rabbits when she is almost there. any advise would be great. she has not been brought up with any retrieving training, she is not even interested in a tennis ball at all. i cant see her changing anytime soon, but thought i would give this a go on here.
