andyfr1968 772
I'm a big fan of both .20 and gas-ram guns The Evo in .20 is a double Marmite gun, some folks love the Evo and some folks hate it. Same with the .20 caliber.... If someone wants one you'll get top dollar for it but you need to find the right buyer first. They are rather rare to say the least. Good luck Cheers. Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hi mate. The markets for selling anything are not good right now in the current shit financial climate, but, people are still looking for bargains and something new or different. The Theoben Evolution was a good rifle but, .20 calibre is what may be putting a lot of would-be buyers off. Have you tried to eliminate doubts here, like, mentioned best, most consistent pellet for it? How good its condition? How well it performs? You say, quote; you love it, it hits like a .22 but has a straight line shot like a .177 so best of both worlds. But then you add "or so I've been told"...??? :hmm: Do you know for sure, by the experiences you have of shooting with it? Or have you been told your rifle in this calibre is any cop?? Be positive, give as much info as positively as you can about your rifle. But above all, be honest! Quote Link to post

We didn't get to spend much time with my .20 90 last time out but .20 shoots a lot closer to .22 in practice as the pellets tend to weigh about the same, 12 to 15 grains. The Dynamics I use tip in at 12 so there is a lttle advantage tragectory wise over most .22 ammo but not that much in the real world. Cheers Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Hi Andy. I know mate but, I shot enough with your .20 HW90 to get a real appreciation for how nice a rifle in this calibre can be. And yours is really lovely. But then, I'm a total geek for Weihrauch rifles as it is. It may be though, that our friend here needs to put his rifle, for sale in a more favourable light. Cheers mate. Hope you are well. rabbit.slayer.no.1 3
thanks for the info guys as you say i do love it , i found the pellet grouping is spot on ive been using the diabolo baracuda extra heavy pointed pellets since ive got it and ive took every thing ive aimed for with them . im getting over 11lbs with them every shot. the gas ram is perfect no leaks its a smooth shot if only a little heavy , but not as heavy as my hw90k i had . ive see the theoben evo go for anything up to £400 in the past but as you say the .20 is a big facter in selling as a lot of people prefer the .22 or .177 as not alot of .20's are made the pellets are as cheap to buy as any other my younger brother who is 16 loves the evo as he gets a better score on the targets then he did with the hw90k .ive explained in my sale post that it has one or two marks on stock but its a hunting gun as i works perfect . but im just being truthful. ive taken rabbits at 40yrds with it which i couldnt do with the hw90k as i didnt trust my aim but the theoben just seems that bit better when in hand .just talking about it here im in two minds if selling is the best thing to do as i will not get a breck barrel like it again .
