chrismdd 787
Hi Managed to get a couple hours out for good behaviour yesterday. Bit windy and had always been told that rabbits don't like bolting in the wind. First tried a few one and two holers but nothing there. Then tried a three holer in the hegde. As I was by myself I needed to lie in the hedge bottom covering one hole and whilst watching the two out in the field. Rabbit came to my hole saw me and went back down, next minute its out in the field netted with the ferret pinning it down. Then tried a twelve holer in further up the hedge and bolted three within two minutes got two of them but the third even though tangled up in two nets managed to wriggle out of my hands and past the dogs nose very lucky b*****d. Finally tried a another twelve holer in the hedge that looked very promising, spent half an holer crawling through thick brambles to net it up, sweating and knackered entered the ferret only to get one out Went back and prepared the rabbits only to find one had a massive pussy wound on its thigh that was spreading (took this one out to the semi-tame fox that visits us occasionally). Going to cook Coney Chassuer this weekend (lovely dish) Quote Link to post
