yep red! i use it to spot game and it dont light up the whole field!

Red filter for spotting and less obtrusive when your straying haha! Then once the dog gets close or I do I remove the lense and White light it!

Iam the same Red all the way for me use it for finding the game then flip to white while running it, Likes been said i hate lamping without it........

 

 

I made a green one out of an old cider bottle and that was a good one as well but lost it while out
