smasher 1,055 Posted February 7, 2011 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2011 Just a few pics i thought id share with you,not my bird but a friends,its a female sparrow hawk,and is flown soley on magpies,and has accouted for 240 magpies to date,its not unusual to take up to 6 magpies in a days car hawking,its a cracking little bird and a pleasure to watch, Quote Link to post

Keep them off the moorhens and coots. why keep them off the moorhens and coots ? aslong as there not on the water theres little chance they will drag your bird under water ,, my spar takes moorhens with complete ease because they tend to always be on or around water to be honest mate...if there not on water its the 1st place they head for.. and many a bird has been lost on the water. that's what happened to mine when i let another guy have her.He lost her on moorhen on the water,she binded and he watched her drown..he could,nt get out to help her and that was the end of a beautifull little hunter. magpie and crows...much more fun and a challenge...then partridge in january..need to be fit and fast.
