HW99s into HW98 stock

Recommended Posts

Hi R488IT. No one with an answer yet?

I'm not certain myself as I have neither rifle in my collection. But I think the answer you seek lies with a visit to your gunshop and a chat with the gunsmith or, a phone call to Hull Cartridge.

No, no answer yet. I did call Hull Cartridge but they just fobbed me off saying that they have not tried it, which I think thats an excuse for we can't say in case anything goes wrong and they'd be liable!

I might just buy a Hw98 stock and give it a go.

Cheers

They're a nice rifle those 98s but they really are little more than a 95 in a party frock and they do cost a lot more, all you're getting over a 95 is the adjustable stock

For the money you may be better off with the 95 then sending it off for a proper tuneing. Sandwell keeps on getting good reps from a few lads on here who know what's what but I've never delt with them personally.

It's definitely worth spending the money to get it tuned up if you do get a 95 mate. As previously mentioned, Sandwell Field Sports or V-Mach would be my choice. I had my 95 tuned by Steve Pope at V-Mach a couple of years ago, and it took a great rifle to an incredible rifle.
