i have got a blue and tan border whos 3 ,hes caught 2 rabbits on open ground ,got 3 pheasant and 3 wood pigeon in cover.hes just got a good hunting pedigree in him ,just a little pushing when he was young .they only come on around 18 months old best dog ive had .okay 1 of the rabbits had mixy but still ran over 150 yards .also got a incredible nose for squizzers chasing hundreds to the safety of a tree, just started taking him out with the gun so hopfully hell proove his worth.to me its 80 per cent breeding and 20 per cent bloody hard work.hes constantly marking and never stops running and mooching for scent, best bushing dog in over 20 that we have for use with the lurcher crowd .funny thing is hes not intrested in rats and hes had hundreds of chances but hes perfect for what i hunt and think ive just been lucky and blessed with a gud un
