A few i know have little fur on their face, bits of noses and ears missing, and in general, very scruffy. Maybe its only young.. However it looks a real good dog. Quote Link to post
bigears 205 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Share Posted May 21, 2011 dog was 18 month old in picture , as stated before i treat him like a lurcher ie lamping rabbits, i also use him for bushing / flushing to shotgun/lurchers, i also use him when carrying out pest control and rifle work as i said he has never failed to find what i have shot, so what is he then ? worker or not, i would say hes a working bedlington and before any one asks NO i do not put him to ground, he is bred out of working dogs , am i missing something here does he have to be scared up to be classed as a working bedlington 9 Quote Link to post

Sire is jihad khan.. with Diesel lines in the beddy... any chance of seeing a pic? sounds a very good cross in theory best of luck with it sure Arctic, there are many pics of her in my posts. She is coming up to 4 in august and is a proven dog... Cheers Thorny Haha, thats a good question thorny. Yes the saluki stubborness was still there in a big way, and it took some time to change the dog to my way of thinking, lol. Dont get me wrong we didnt take it all away from her, and she still has her traits. she does however go everywhere without a lead, and is probarbly the most obident dog i have ever owned, more so thatn my colliex at the moment. As for someone earlier saying, whats the point. Well i live in an area of massive bush and flushing work. So the beddlington in the dog and the stamina of a saluki brings hours of bushing work as well as the course, once the animal you seek has been flushed... Quote Link to post

I was actually asking the guy who said"that looks like a proper working beddy" how did he know.. As to me it looks like it has just come out of the show ring, and been all groomed up. And before you start, my dogs work everyday, but once brushed up, you would not be able to tell, as they to can look like show dog You got 5 ticks for your explanation about how your dogs work. Maybe people know more than i about working Beddys, and they know they are used for gun work.... : I personally thought they were used for tougher jobs...
