kevin from bristol 95
people like that hould,nt be alound 2 keep dogs, anyway about the question in hand personally i would of waited untill he came back out i told him some home truths and then took the dogs and if he persued just tell him you going 2 let the auroities know anyway i think you should let them know anyway, well i think you done a good turn but could handle a little different i agree with what your saying 100% but i didnt think about that at the time i was just in to much shock that he could keep dogs like this maybe you should of had a chat with him about the state of the dogs face to face instead of running off after robbing him if you feel that strongly over it what about the rest of the dogs just dont make sense maybe if you payed him for it he would have put the money into the other dogs you just dont know do you Edited February 7, 2011 by kevin from bristol Quote Link to post

ashleybee 7
wouldnt normally entertain the RSPCA but ad be straight on to them. Get them to do some propper work I'll 2nd that It's only at times like this that the rspca are of any use and as much as I hate authorties like them they do have thier uses. At least the dog you took will have a good life, couldn't you have got one under each arm. 1 Quote Link to post
KittleRox 2,147
I think there,s a few people being a bit hard on the lad,as i said before in hindsight I think he may have done things a bit different, spur of the moment me thinks secondly although they,re not on my christmas list I,d report the cxnt to the polis and the rspca,if the animals are living in conditions like he says the cxnt should get at least a 5 year ban and the dogs will get the necessery veterinery treatment etc if some of you don,t agree,I DON,T CARE 2 Quote Link to post
torchey 1,301
i went to see a chap earlier about some purse nets and on arrival all seemed well untill he took me through to his back yard.this however was no ordinary back yard,it was what i can only describe as dog hell. he had in exess of 20 lurchers of various breeds and ages all kenneld up,coverd in shit, open wounds, some even had skin disorders that had resulted in nearly complete hair loss. while i was stood in complete shock and discust he opend a shed and in the corner was 3 pups cowering in the corner, on looking closer one was dead! well enough was enough for me. i said to him how much for the pups, the reply was errm il go ask my mrs and off he went indoors to ask her..... fook this i thought and scooped up one of the pups and scarpered out the back gate and off up the road i am now being accused by some very close friends as being nothing more than a scummy DOG THEIF. i however think im just giving the pup a home and life it deserves.. what are your veiws on my actions and what would you have done in this situation? I think doing it behind his back and only taking 1 wasn,t the way to go mate,if you had the balls to nick it,should of had the balls to tell him why.Personally i wouldn,t report him but the threat of it would have probably sorted it out, but 20 plus dogs in that sort of state i couldn,t have just picked 1 up and bolted Quote Link to post
HAMMERDAN 25
Should go back and take the lot, people like that need stringing up, strange how ya only took the one like mate, but fair play to ya atleast one is getting to see another day. Quote Link to post
scothunter 12,609
I would have supported you better if you had have taken both pups, taking just one, kinda makes me feel you did it partly because you felt sorry for the pup and the other reason you wanted the particular pup you took. skycat 6,173
IMO the man needs reporting, either to the dog warden or the RSPCA This is one case, if true, that really does need intervention right away. Sod the fact that that the RSPCA hate hunters: think of those dogs and the horrible way they'll probably die, or the horrible way they'll carry on suffering. Saving one pup wouldn't salve my conscience one little bit: the rest of the dogs need helping so just get on the phone and do something about it. Quote Link to post
