theif or rescuer

i went to see a chap earlier about some purse nets and on arrival all seemed well untill he took me through to his back yard.this however was no ordinary back yard,it was what i can only describe as dog hell. he had in exess of 20 lurchers of various breeds and ages all kenneld up,coverd in shit,open wounds,some even had skin disorders that had resulted in nearly complete hair loss. while i was stood in complete shock and discust he opend a shed and in the corner was 3 pups cowering in the corner, on looking closer one was dead! :sick: well enough was enough for me. i said to him how much for the pups,the reply was errm il go ask my mrs and off he went indoors to ask her..... fook this i thought and scooped up one of the pups and scarpered out the back gate and off up the road i am now being accused by some very close friends as being nothing more than a scummy DOG THEIF. i however think im just giving the pup a home and life it deserves.. what are your veiws on my actions and what would you have done in this situation?

Id have told him to sort his dogs out,if id have wanted the pup i would have offered him some money,deducting what i thought it may cost to put the dog right.

people like that hould,nt be alound 2 keep dogs,anyway about the question in hand personally i would of waited untill he came back out i told him some home truths and then took the dogs and if he persued just tell him you going 2 let the auroities know anyway i think you should let them know anyway,well i think you done a good turn but could handle a little different

its going to cost me a fortune with vets to sort. he is well under weight. weighing a touch short of 9lb and he around 6 months. he has skin problems and his pads are just open wounds where they are burnt from amonia

wouldnt normally entertain the RSPCA but ad be straight on to them.
