tearem 31
I can never work with this photobucket thing either, so can't send no pics. I start my pups very young with the pack, to big game above ground, from 5 months onward, they can choose whether they just want to take a nice walk through the woods with me, or follow the older dogs. Never had one which didn't hunt the pigs at the end of its first season say 7 to 8 moths old. Then they must also be talking to warm scent. While they hunt the pigs they come across earths and setts too and somewhere during the process they self enter and then too they can make out for themselves how far or deep they want to go. Some of them only self enter their second season, but most have worked a fox in the earth or even something else in their first season. Of course they are always in the company of experienced older dogs. In this way, they get a lot of hunting, like 40 days a season, they learn fast and grow very clever soon. I have 2 young ones which have been in the pack until now they are 8 months. A young small smooth coated merle male called Lucifer. He is an early starter and hard like his mother. And a rough coated small female called Tabasco 3, who is bred double back to Chili and Semtex, the last boarhunt of the season she followed a big male boar of 100 kilo with the pack for 3 kilometres and we had to collect her from where the boar was, she was still with him. She has not been wounded yet, she is clever and careful with a good nose. I'm satisfied about both till now, although Lucifer might end up a bit too hard for his own good if he doesn't learn fast.
