chartpolski 23,243
Just look at footballers mate; it's one of the worst injuries they can get ! They are sent to the best surgeons and no expense spared, but some of them never make it back to their best. I'm not trying to put a downer on your situation, just telling it like it is.... Hope the dog isn't as seriously injured as it seems, and makes a full recovery, some do !! Cheers. Quote Link to post

steve123 29
i had it happen with an 7 year old bullmastiff dog. it cost around £1500 and that was about 10 years ago, its all about the rest and slow recovery. he had to be caged for 6 weeks and it was about 8 months of steady exercise before he was back to normal. he was by then an older dog and didnt do much running. a friend had a whippet greyound with a small tear which made a reasonable recovery but the dog was never as good after as it was before. good luck with your case Quote Link to post

Ossie n Arch 1,682
Japanese Akita across the road did both of hers. 7k total and still not totally better. On another note, done both of mine, went private, took ages to recover and i'm not totally better either, but i don't think i'll get PTS. Quote Link to post
