blando 0
just had a go with it on the lamp, brilliant to try and get my whippet pup to work out squatters. i will take some little videos to show you tomorrow, the spool does not need to be very big atall it was milles fast enougth just a few flicks of the switch is al it needed. is there any way i can get a speed varible switch in it, im not very good with electrics? if not its fine how it is just a thought. what can i use as pullys/rollers to add corners to the course? i mite just make some up. flipsake blando lad,, i never thought of that!! sounds like a good idea to me :thumbs-up: .. my bitch stalks them which is very annoyin... i wonder would a lure make a difference to stalking them too?? i dont know mate but my dog just runs up 2 it and waits for it to move now, then as soon as it does shes off, going to go out on the bunnies tonight to see if its made any difference Quote Link to post
witton 6
after reading all your replies on this, got me wanting to have a go at making one, and I aint even got a lurcher.............YET so, can an electrical 240v motor be worked from a battery??? if so, may have the solution for your speed controller.... a sewing machine foot pedal You could if you ran it off one of these plugged into your car fag lighter. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Workshop-In-Car-Powe...1QQcmdZViewItem Quote Link to post
blando 0
i dont know if you will get the speed i know if you run power tools from them things you get very little speed out of them. to be honest once you get used to controlling it a simple on/off switch is all you need. A starter motor is your best bet, its plenty fast enougth i dont think any dog would catch up with it, the spool does not need to be very big either, im going to downsize mine.
