HAMMERDAN 25
Hi lads. Just had pup out on a few local fields covered about 2 mile, ive never slipped him yet as i think he's to young but after walking over 2 fields i just let pup off for a run about, i wasnt out hunting just getting him used to night time and lamp, i was flicking it on and off every 2-3 minutes just to see if he was following the beam, then just as i pushed through some bushland i flicked lamp on and there was a mr charlie, i had pup off lead and couldnt help him taking off after it, he coursed it for about 5-8 seconds before i recalled him in as i know its illegal to hunt fox with dogs, he came straight back to me as soon as i called him, before this he didnt realy take that much interst in the beam but dont know how to feel about it. Obviously i am pleased he followed lamp, but his 1st ever chase was on mr charlie, how would you feel? And for all antis, i would never let my dog kill a fox and the only reason he chased in the 1st place was because he was off lead. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
I don't see the point of walking a dog and showing it the beam when he is too young to run, especially when hes off the lead...........Patience never hurt any dog........ Quote Link to post

whippet 99 2,613
dont worry mate you had no intentions of what happened, i personally wouldnt worry about it , you will exsperience alot of things whilst out with a dog , sometimes it cant be helped. as long as you can prove your intentions you wont go wrong. good luck with your training - how ever you go about it Quote Link to post

HAMMERDAN 25
For f**k sake, he werent on the lead, it was an accident and bored.. Making stuff up, you must know some low lifes, no joy in lying, someone who lied about a dog accidentally chasing a fox must be some little keyboard hunting f**k up, and some of you just sont get it he cane back when shouted end of.
