i lay mine in a u shape and facing the wind, keep an eye out for a flight line and get under it if you can. cover hands and face tho as they have amazing eyes that can spot skin a mile off!

was always told to leave a Gap between two patterns facing the wind :hmm:. by all account Pigeons like to fly over the top of there pals alot of the time and land infront! I'm sure it was the late great Archie Coats who said that? Crow deacs are handy as it proves to the Pigeons it normaly pretty safe! we used to also Bung a couple of Magpie deacs in the hegde near by.

I wouldn't worry about it if you drew a blank if there wasn't many pigeons about! but if there was plenty over flying your Deacs then somthing was a miss :hmm:. I have never shot them with a Air Rifle over decoys but it certainly could be productive as many will land among the Patterns.

this is probably a load of bollox to the pro's in the game but it worked for me while out with the shotty .

Hi mate thought I would just add, try identifying a sitty tree. Half an hour watching to see which tree the birds use (generally either, one of the larger trees on the egde of a row or wood, or a single tree in a hedge row or field) can pay off more for the air rifle as they tend to land in these trees to scout out the area before going in to feed. If you get it right then you'll have more brids to shoot at than ever!

Good luck pal
