... a friend of mine has just bought a lithium battery and they are a luxury to use. definatly the way forward, a just need to bite the bullet and buy one now :icon_redface:

Same here! I've got about 7-8 12v batteries in the garage and every time I take one out to charge it my mate just pats his jacket pocket and gloats. :feck:

Trying to decide whether to pick one up in a month or two when I HOPE the prices might drop a bit because of the end of the season but then again it'll sit round doing nowt for 6mths if I do get it.

Just looked at the cost of a lithium battery :o:o:o £100 +

No way will i pay that am to tight ! What I have so far iv been given so has cost me nothing !

and even if i was paying I would rather get a new acid battery at £14 that lasts 5+ years and replace it when its shot ! Also what is the life of the lithium battery ? I would want at least 10 years for the money !

i use a 17ah battery, gel sealed. way to heavy and big for my pocket. but moves around and sits badly in my backpack. guess i'm just gonna have to make up some tabs to hold it in 1 place tightly in the bag

i rap mine up in a old coat or towels , also a good paded rock sack helps.

:boxing: i have smaller batterys but i like to keep fit :showoff: so carrying a large battery all night up and down hills suits me .:weight_lift2:
