Mine was £19:50 as an aprentice fabricator welder. six month later got the sack for beating up the bosses nephew

Spent a lot of it on a pottery figure of a staffy bull so that i would always have summat to remember my first weeks wages by.

I couldnt drink enough to blow the rest, you could get 4 pints for a quid in them days :drink:

My first wage was about 7 years ago when i was 11. It was a paper round! £10 a week. I also walked a rhodesian ridgeback for £5 a walk. I spent this on anything and everything. Clothes, cd's, magazines, sweets. Then i got a proper job and im still doing that. f**k knows where the money goes now. On the piss most of it, and bloody dogs! :D

A pound, for a weekend at the Dog Track (I suspect because the Trainer didn't have any change in his pocket! )

That bought me 20 B&H (posh fags to let my mates see. Well up on the usual No. 6 ~ though I far preferred No. 6. Ye could taste them!). It'd also have covered my Gamekeeper and Countryside magazine and still left change in my pocket!

£18.50 when I was 16 on a Youth Opportunity Program, or Government trainning scheme. what a rip off! after six months the employer could chose weather to take you on full time or not, 99% of they time they didn't bother cause they would have to pay you more, and at the end of the day can you blame them when they could just bring in another load of recruits for another 6mth stint for £18.50, Cheap Labour.

Mind you I used to have a few perks from the greedy b*****ds ;).
