shotgunny 39
Hi lads what is involved in getting a terrier club going?? I wouldn't mind giving a hand to try set something up if a few other lads were willing to do so aswell. It can't be that much involved. If someone wants to give me a pm about a way in which to start one of these clubs it would be very much appreciated. atb sg Quote Link to post

the moff 0
How much would i be looking at for a locator collar mate And how do i go about joining a terrier club? Atb Sg A locator collar is going to cost between £150-£350 depending on what youre after and can afford, the old deben boxes are a good place to start if on a tight budget and can be found on here in the ads or ebay etc or the newer long range deben is ok dont go for the mark 2 or 3 though they were known for trouble, then there is the ortovox stuff which i use and cant fault it (D3) or the bellman and flint which is expensive but also well worth it and i cant fault that. any of the l;ocator systems are a good thing as you can get a mark and keep digging until there instead of digging blindly at the ground, if there are any older lads (pre locators) around to giude you then take heed of their knowledge as they will teach you some good techniques for locating the dog with out the use of a box, which is handy to know if the batts fail or something?? regards a terrier group as earth said there is no current reps in ireland as far as im aware but there must be working terrier groups over ther whos members are on this site?? alright mate i was just wondering wicth d3 are you on about because there is quit a few of them bud Quote Link to post
