If we'd had those kicks matey, or if the game had gone on another 15 mins we'd have had them. Ah well.

Good luck to all the home nations, Wales not long to go now and England later and looking forward the clash tomos too!   Ymlaen Cymru mae rhaid i chi codi lan

Congratulations to Ireland, by far the better team on the day today & totally deserved winners. To all the genuine rugby fans from England with a love of the game and a touch of humility, congratulations on a superb tournament and what's looking likely to be the 2011 six nations championship. :notworthy:

Anyone who'se seriously considering putting money on Ireland needs their head read, IMHO.

England need to be a bit more disciplined than last week, but the Grand Slam is there for the taking.

How did that go then Mr Hooks? :whistling:

That's the problem and the reason why the rest of us give English guys like you grief. Things like Grand slams are not god given certainties. After your team beat a poor Welsh team in the first match, the whole media started churning out the Grand slam and on to the world cup nonsense... It intensified with every match, until it was at fever pitch. Listening to all the sports shows on the radio this morning, you would have thought all England had to do was turn up in Dublin and be awarded with the Grand Slam.. They seemed to forget (as did you going by your above post) that there was a game of rugby to be played first, and your opponents aren't exactly a poor team on the world stage, or known for rolling over when the English are in town...

Yeah yeah, going in to the match, only a fool would have backed the Irish. Sadly, the English team seemed to think they were there for a game of pattercake rather than rugby.

That, and several missed kicks, totally screwed us.

Well played the Irish, sorry we couldn't have given you a bit more of a game. We made it easy for you, but fair play you took advantage of it and stuffed us.

As for the championship, I still don't see Wales putting enough points past France to clinch it, so I think it's safe.

I'm just f#####g livid at the England team, they didn't turn up today, against a team that's been struggling. Maybe they got a bit complaisant, maybe it was just the Irish played to a level they've not managed for ages, but we SHOULD have won it, and we didn't.

Ireland came second in last years competition & won a Grand Slam the year before. This the third year running they've beaten England.. In all fairness, given today's result they were only an incorrectly given try (against Wales) away from a triple crown this year..

No Mate, I'm sorry but for those of us living outside the great English media bubble, today's result wasn't anything out of the ordinary..:thumbs:

I wont mention any of the teams in the six nations, to mention one alone may be deemed as being biased and may draw caustic remarks from site members from those country's. But I will make this one constructive comment.
