Thanks everyone for the comments.

Hi Simon,

Yes mate the HW is a cracker and shoots extremely accurately as you would expect from a German made rifle. The rabbits on Andy's permission come out in there drones in patches over many of his different fields so i reckon in the Summer there will be hundreds of them if they have a good Spring breed.

Hi Ron,

No if i see a good deal mate i will aways upgrade if possible.

Hi John,

Yes Darth Gurtwuz "back over to the Darkside i am" LOL. Say hi to Jackie from Laura and me buddy.

Hi Steve,

Im happy now for a while in regards to rifles pal.

When i get the itch again for something else to join the r10 and HW100T i may get a AA S410 as i like them lots, but i have a few PCPs on the list for pension day including a nice HW springer pal.

I'll just have to wait and see what comes along then mate but now i need to start and save for a wedding.

Hi Andy,

Role on Sunday mate I say, I’m really looking forward to seeing how she performs on that HFT course.

I’ve put some of that advantage tape under the stock and on the sides at the front to protect her when resting next to them pegs etc mate.

I’m not a big fan of tape but I spent a lot of time this morning on her ensuring that the tape pattern all met correctly and the contours of the rifle where properly covered so she doesn’t look like a fish and chip rifle.

I think that she looks quite good really and may keep her like it after the HFT so she doesn’t ever get scratched when out lamping etc.

Yep I bet your knackered now buddy after working and all those late nights lamping. Thanks again Andy for getting me out of camp buddy.

I’ll repay your kindness when you and Adele come and visit me buddy in either Germany or UK if I get my posting.

Laura says hi to you and Adele, she’s been working all day and is pooped herself.

She is enjoying the new job though and at least making some better money now for herself, bless her.

What time you picking me up on Sunday morning buddy? I come off nights at 0800 hrs.

Can I still also use your heat gun on Sunday mate to get this HW silencer off the barrel and the Twink fitted instead?

I’ve measured them and the Twink is about 1 inch smaller than the HW silencer which is good as you know I’m not a fan of long rifles, plus the Twink is a far better silencer in my personal opinion and from my own tests.

Thanks Steve buddy.

Hi Darryl,

Yes sure mate.

I mounted it that far back for 3 reasons really buddy.

1 is when I shoot off the bipod I like it as far back as possible but not that far that it impedes where my normal left hand position is. This enables me more lateral movement both left and right at the muzzle end making for easier targeting and aiming.

2 is that the weight is further back towards the action when shooting standing, kneeling or sitting so not spoiling the balance of the rifle by making it overly front heavy.

3 is when I shoot standing etc I always hold my left hand close to the trigger guard with my elbow into my waist acting as a bench rest of sorts, so where it is now it acts as a rest for my hand to aim accurately.

I measured where my hand goes at Andy’s before Andy fitted the stud for me. Its sort of a bipod position customised for my own usage pal.

Thay are really nice rifles though and shoot wonderful.

How you getting on with yours pal? You prefer it to your BSA S10 or not pal?
