Bit possessive, should get better once the dog is fully familiarised with the real thing

Saluki crosses can sometimes do this- mine did.

I tried the walk away approach-did help a bit

Then i tried the crouch down in the field and dont keep calling it approach. This method seemed to work better for me.

Dont worry stick to the training and as the dog matures it should start to bring them closer and closer in

Whatever you do stay calm :victory:

f****n feed the thing mate, if you bring your dog up about game they soon learn not to eat there game ,give it rabbit dummies , sound slike it needs worked more and under control so it doesnt eat rabbit some dogs do, some once caut fetch it and thats therre bit done ,if your got another dog about it can get the pup jealous etc best way is to try him on his own once caut, run shout name heel run to you if you have made the bond get the rabbit quick of him plenty of praise then again he will soon learn fetch back

Well done on the first catch, and dont worry about the eating it part, the pup will soon grow out of it.

Mine ate his second one, then never again, he retrived the first, live to hand.

He then started air humping above his catches, the strange beast, but grew out of that after a few months.
