How windy is to windy?

90% of people off the site will be in the same boat when i say this:

 

all my nights are great although you never hear the effect of wind......still always get very close to my quarry and big bags always manage to bag a stag........sometimes im at it all night and feel nackerd for school..........

i was out last night got home at 1 oclock and will be out the night again my dogs dont shiver as have a good coat on them and are use to all weathers as get walked and ran in all weathers no good to me if they shivering? shivering dogs are for girl,s lol.

ive got a thin skinned dog in my yard black recking it that has been knowen to shiver on a could wet day that you wouldnt be man ebough for ...hes defiantely not for girls

had great nites on the wind but you need to no the land intimitly and were theyll be lying in a north easterly or soo westerly never let wind stop me , but you need to no were the game are lieing,thtas were the difrence of going out for a looka nd going out to catch you have to no the likely places in diffrent weather , sorts players and expeirenced hunter out

Last night was a disaster The rain was just to hard in that gale , stinging nightmare, even the dogs weren`t happy. Still got a coupla runs though

 

Saying that, when I got to bed ,the wife says it was windier inside than out,,PAARRRPPP!!! :blink:

best places is along thick woodsides which were built as barriers or natural cover, no bits were there always be game but you have to no all these things open land can be useless at times better thick woods were there sheltrd , saw some nites that windy saw pheasants getting blown back and forward and trying to get a shot in them and other nites so windy the game was lying down dogs got it of the clap ,several times ,

A messer will always look for a reason not to go,to wet ,to dry,to windy,not windy,full moon,to dark,Dog tired. The keen lads will be out no matter what,trying to get a run.Must say never heard to windy before.
