pianoman 3,587
Very nice rifle . I understood there were problems encountered with the original Parker Hale Pheonix and a lot of shooters were put off -including myself. Certainly I didn't see many in the gun shops and even fewer these days. The new manufacturers seem to have made an improved and better version of what does look an attractive pcp. You got one of these Bob? Like to hear more about it if you have?! ATB Simon Quote Link to post

Sweeney-Todd 208
Hiya Bob/R Do not like the looks of the fast fire at all BUT, the Pheonix looks very nice indeed, nice lines, and they have thought about us left handers to with the ambi stock, nice. Hope to see one of these at the Game fares, would love a try of that Pheonix. ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
I must agree with Bill, the Fast Fire is not remotely attractive to my eye; in fact, I would bin it from the range and focus on making and developing the Pheonix and a newer design using the same system format and boosting sales. But then, I personally dislike all TDRs and most pcps' anyway. God knows why we can make a nice looking job of a rifle, but there has to be barriers and obstacles with distributors to getting it into more outlets and boosting sales. Quote Link to post

Im down in Devon mate. I can understand the costs of the shows, shame it has such an impact on smaller companies. Some of the smaller companies have a lot to offer the shooting enthusiast. Shame you cant team up with another trader and share the costs, or does that not work? ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post

The Origina Mark 1 Phoenix was orignally tied to Parker Hale Who took over distribution when the Mark Two's was first made But never pushed in Shops Rangewright tried - but again did not get out Then Prestige Gun's - Again - Down now to be sold Direct through Pax Gun's London But any RFD Dealer can buy them in @ Trade rate if they have a valid RFD On a proforma invoice basis I have been known to visit Dealers interested Not a employee - Long time Associate of Company and owner Hugh Earl BOB/R Quote Link to post
HEAD SHOT 1
The problem is the asking price. They have gone over double the price they were a few years back before the VCR act utting had them for a good price £400 ish if I remember rightly. Look at the other options in this price range and its no wonder they dont sell and dealer wont stock a rifle that wont sell, specialy small companies as they are more likey to want cash up front rather then sell or return. I would love one of they,a lot can be dont to improve them and from the new owners taking over i remember a ot of custom parts, the owner or manager has a real nice one but when you forking out over a k on one of these with mods you have to think that you coud be having the latest technology electronic gaystates, one off ISP or a one of ripper. Its no wonder why they dont sel.I cant understand why there so expensive either as there a very simple design. Who ever designed that fast fire thing needs fast firing lol. I coulld of come up with some thing a milion times better then that. There no hop for these unlless the price drops drasticl as I know if I was spending £600+ on a new Rifle,I woud not even consider this. Its a £300-400 rifle. I really do like them but theres to many rifles in that price range that are plane and simply better in all respects. People struggle to sell these on too I have noticed so if considering one, look for a used one not that they show up often. I wonder how many of these have ever been sold in tota,I can imagine not a lot. Lets compare it to a gaystate mk3 or mk4 or air ranger?or theoben rapid/fx range?it has no chance in winning over a customer who knows his air guns. These would sell rapid if given a proper price tag around £300-350. I dont know how there surviving as so many british gun makers are gone. Hey dont forget Air arms are tru british, all bsa pcps are too and so are gaystates. Quote Link to post
