i dont no to much about digging foxes but found an earth and its an impossible dig,,ii was just wondering if i could use my smoker..??which i use for ratting would the fox bolt or would it sit tight ..has anyone ever used one before..????heres a pic of the earth .......

there was fresh shit ever where and it stank of fox my terrier was marking like feck but got him out as its impossible to dig i dont no what it is ???mabye an old bunker like you say ive walded this area loads of times but never seen it before itts fairly well hidden even tho i dosent look like it on a the pic ...do you think if i used the smoker ..it would bolt ????i could net the two holes ....to be honest iam a lurcher man and havent done much foxing ...

well fetch one along moorman . .i wouldnt put mine down there .i use him mainly for bushing ..it needs an exspeirenced terrier ...still like to no if smoker would work ,,,???

i doubt a smoker would penetrate deep enough, remember rat holes are narrow and near the surface, fox earths are a lot wider and often very deep, so you would need the smkoe from a power station chimney to get deep enough, a petrol strimmer wont do it

ive often wondered about this. obvisly you may need two or three smokers but if you could get enough smoke down there would they bolt like a rat or not

Rats always bolt, rabbit hardly ever bolt, foxes im not sure but i have got a gaser that would do the job an car engine mounted on a trailer but iv always used a terrier

its obvious that a lot of the boys on her ar not experianced terrier men youcantnot bolt a fox out by smoke and jest becouse u found fox shit outside a hole dont think a fox is a home they mark thier patch with scatts find a experienced terrier man to show u the ropes the last few replies u had was a load of bull shit

IMO, AND MY EXPERENCE OF DOING BIG RABBIT WARRENS, THE FOX WILL EITHER BE KILLED THOUGH CARBON MONXCIED OR BOLT, AS I SAID IV DONE IT FOR YEARS WITH RABBITS WARRENS SOME VAST WITH LARGE HOLES AND IT KILLS THEM VERY QUICKLY YOU SAID MY POST WAS BULLSHIT LIKE YOUV SMOKED LOADS OF FOXES, SO TELL US THEN ???????? look lads i didnt want to start an argument..i was asking a simple question will smoke bolt it or not.??????????.ive got a smoker that would soon fill an earth ...just add a bit of redex and it would fill your house in ten min ..like i said i havent done much digging i have always had running dogs i use my terrier for bushing and ratting he has gone to ground .....it was only last week he went to ground but i can call him out even when hes baying .....i got him for bushing and thas what he does.and does it well........

didnt really want to kill it with fumes ..not very sporting...if people dont think it will work ..then it shall live to see another day cheers...
