pups retreive

Recommended Posts

well after having a bit of a struggle to get my pup to get the knack of "retreive" i couldnt be more happy that we finally have a little progress. :toast: she will now willingly chase and retreive her favorite toy every time  ...... but has now decided that when the wifes kitten goes for a wander she "MUST" bring it to me! :icon_eek::wallbash: i really dont know what to make of it to be honest. she hasnt hurt the kitten in any way but i cant get her to stop and i dont want to bollok her for doing it as i dont want to put her off bringing things to me. what would you folk suggest?

I was telling another member last week about my 13 week old pup retreiving my Chihuahua. They are the best of friends but when they start racing around the pup catches the Chi, picks him up and brings him right to me. She retrieves perfectly to my hand but sometimes has to put the chihuahua down so she pins him with her foot til she can get a better hold to bring him to me.

The Chihuahua couldn't care less and thinks it's a good game :D

I also don't want to tell my pup off in case she stops retreining thinking i'll get mad at her. At the moment she will fetch anything i throw for her and races back to give it to me so i'll throw it again.
