Rake aboot 4,935
Ok here goes. Is it just me or has the lurcher world been taken over by the trackies tucked into socks brigade just a bit too much I have worked and been around lurchers all my adult life and am begining to hope that the hare ban is not lifted.(for the saftey of the hare population) The fact that it is illegal has gotten a lot of folk into lurchers and all for the wrong reasons, I hate to think of the carnage if they thought they had the right to go mental on the Hares "ass" (dear god!!). I realise that hunting hares with lurchers is an amazing sport, and that in areas that need culls, coursing would be a superb method,(I have only shot 1 hare in the last 8 years) but there appears to be less sport and more chav bling about coursing these days. I realise that my views may not be popular, but hey ho!! ATB 8 Quote Link to post

ATB why the need to cull? why not live trap and take them to parts of the country that have a smaller or no population of hares? 1 Quote Link to post
Rake aboot 4,935
A bit impractical. Some places have more hares than you could shake a stick at, and a couple of places round me want them off as they view them as a pest, getting away from my above point though !! ATB Quote Link to post

terrierjohn 49
i do see folks points of view here BUT why does a bloke's attitude to working dogs always get judged on what they are wearing ? a mans clothes does not determin his attitude to dogs i realise that there is a lot of trakkie wearing folk that do have no respect for his dogs or quarry but it seems to me that everyone of them get tarred with the same brush 3 Quote Link to post
