andyfr1968 772
do trigger locks not count for nowt then i spose? I was wondering the same thing. I keep my guns locked together with a 'U' lock through the trigger guards. If you screwed a rawlbolt "eye" in to the wall and then passed the 'u' lock through the eye or ring of the bold that would comply with the law. John Thanks for that, I'll get that done Edited February 1, 2011 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post
gerron 13
I for 1 already do this, i's be interested in knowing just how many do and dont..... Quote Link to post
rossy08 33
if you put 2 rawbolts into the wall just a little apart from each other it prevents them being unscrewd from the wall.. Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
1 death and 67 serious injuries? Hardly a cause for panic measures is it. How much public money was spent getting this latest bollocks on the statute books? I can well see the common sense of gun security in this but, fining people for having an "unsecured" air rifle in their own homes? Let me ask one question. HOW MANY OF US HERE, HAVE ACTUALLY HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE OUR KIDS HAVE TAKEN OUR GUNS AND COMMITTED SERIOUS CRIMINAL OFFENCES OR SERIOUS INJURY WITH THEM.....ANYONE? I have a cousin who, when I was a young lad, accidentally shot me in the face with his Relum Tornado underlever when he was a 21 year old pillock and he was bloody stupid. I was less than an inch from being blinded or worse. But that wasn't due to security issues. It was a stupid accident. As some if not most of these 67 cases will be. The 1 fatality I don't know about. I cannot stand this bloody ignorant, negative way of reporting on, or f***k all politicians jumping on airgun ownership to be seen to be doing something while producing nothing. Is it any wonder we are the most legislated nation in the civilised world and yet, one of the worst educated and poorly served people in the world. That's a crime every Prime Minister and cabinet ministers have been guilty of for the last 50 years. More people are killed or seriously injured riding horses, skateboarding or as a result of weekend town-centre piss-ups. I bet that really pissed off the editor and the junior Home Office minister to find just one death and 67 serious injuries from air rifle mis-use. Why not pass laws to tip cheap-shit booze down the drain and actually punish genuine criminals for a change? We are pretty well off for pointless legislation right now. Pianofart 2 Quote Link to post
