I dont want a bum chewer.David[/b] Personally, I wouldnt give a feck where it took a hold as long as it made the catch, seen dogs look for neck holds, also seen very catchable deer escape .......... Guest Frank
i would love a greyhound pup out of good stuff, and start into trainin and racin them... the greyhound idea is just a lingerin thought that i've had for a year or so, i'll probably never act on it ... I have exactly the same ideas as you thier oldskool, about starting to train a greyhound or 2. Allways wanted to get into it, never had the time or space, prehaps one day. Frank. millytheterrier 12
I would have a couple of border terriers and maybe a whippet x lurcher they would all be good at catching rabbits and vermin.
Guest Eamon.Mc
A clairvoyant(spelling) dog that could pick 6 numbers week in week out so I could buy a million acres and have my own private hunting sanctuary where any game would be legal.

I wood sooner let it live to run another day than to be only able to eat 85% of it ;)I dont want to waste any, but if your after numbers than it doesnt matter where it grabs, if it will grab anywhere than there will be more deer caught in the season. Either way i would sooner see one caught with style and killed quickly than 10 getting pulled down by their arse, getting ripped into david Edited January 23, 2007 by witton
lampinglurcher 36
forgot to mention that id love a bull arab someday and a doberman/greyhound (why arent they used?!) a foxhound, a well bred boxer, and richard christians old dog nell ~ what a dog eh? Guest oldskool
i always wondered why dober/greys werent more common too... we had 5 over the years, my word were they quick to learn!!! would probably be a nicer cross than the gsd/grey?? only one out of the 5 made a good guard dog though, the rest were a bit docile!! another dog i always fancied was one of these 'minshaw' lurchers that people talk so highly of!!
