collie/grey 238
I would someday love to own a proper AMPBT. When they become legal  A pharoah hound because they are absolutely stunning and i want to know if they'd work as well as a lurcher. Also a blue merle smooth collie Oh and a dogo argentino. squirreltail 15
Now I don't necessarily want to know the best dog you ever had or what breed suits your style of hunting, but what you would really LOVE to train, regardless of practicalities or geographical location. I'll get the ball rolling. First of all I would really love to train and work a proper working bred Irish Red Setter (none of those brain dead showing types). But unfortunately they're notoriously timid and difficult to train and I just wouldn't have the patience, or the hunting ground to have one. Someday though Secondly, I think that pure bred Saluki's are the most graceful and beautiful dogs that I have ever set eyes on. I know that they're not an allround lurcher type, but that's not the point of this topic. Unfortunately, I don't have the work for an all out hare coursing machine and I think it would be wrong to keep one and not give it the work that it loves and deserves. Well, over to you folks!!!! Its gotter be a pure bred deerhound for me. they look like a huntin dog should , and theyre good at huntin just about anything if theyre brought up right, even down to rabbit, pheasant. pointer28 1
Thanks all for replying Collie/grey, i like the sound of the pharaoh hound as well, would be interesting to see. Macnas, I've never seen a small munsterlander, but I have seen a Large Munsterlander, are they another type of HPR or what is their speciality.
