If you want the dog to do all of the above, why not up the size? :hmm:

my bitch does all the above she s 21" do t need any bigger just tougher

I realise your bitch does all of the above but alot of smaller types won,t cut it,upping the size seems logical to me,ask yourself why not :hmm:

hi all thinking about mating this bitch, shes 21"tts and 30lbs shes game ,fast ,lots of stamina, hunted rats upto munty her breeding is dam 3/4 saluki /ghd sire whippet i bred her, her dam was a brill bitch and shes turning out good too ,my problem is not sure what to put her to. her only faults are vey thin skin and poor thin coat,my initial thought was to use a working whippet ,but i would gain nothing in the skin ,coat department ,i also fancied using a 3/4 bred bull/whppet but same again thin skin .took this bitch ratting on sunday the terriers hardly got a look in, she accounted for over half the rats taken . i have an idea, heard good things about a border terrier x whippet ,game ,good coat, thick skin sounds ideal right ,don t want to slow the potential offspring down too much ,not so keen on beddy xs but want the pups to turn out small and game any thoughts fella s  atb BB

seen this bitch behind a few and she is fast and has plenty of wind..

depends on your land i suppose, mine is small fields, barbwire ,thick cover holds a variety of game , also do rattng there was a 24"lurcher there that couldnt connect like my bitch ,to slow round the cover ,too heavy ,i just like em quick and little .perhaps i am asking too much

The wheaton sounds like a good choice (not having seen either dog) a decent half cross will make the pups roughly 1/4 Wheaton 3/4 running dog so should have a decent enough turn of speed without watering down the terrier side of things too much.

End of the day it's up to you!

Your the one thats got to live with them and also try and sell/cull any left over pups.

All the best

collie whippet for me bud not cause i got 1 lol

i have a first cross collie whippet he has a thicker coat than my whippet bitch he is very clever and takes all i ask him to take.i he will go through brick walls he never gives up he,

i will be putting him over my bitch when she is at age as the collie does put brains and a better tougher coat.ideal if u want the 20/22tts working dog.your bitch looks a fine stamp atb which way you go
