barnslyben 74
hi all thinking about mating this bitch, shes 21"tts and 30lbs shes game ,fast ,lots of stamina, hunted rats upto munty her breeding is dam 3/4 saluki /ghd sire whippet i bred her, her dam was a brill bitch and shes turning out good too ,my problem is not sure what to put her to. her only faults are vey thin skin and poor thin coat,my initial thought was to use a working whippet ,but i would gain nothing in the skin ,coat department ,i also fancied using a 3/4 bred bull/whppet but same again thin skin .took this bitch ratting on sunday the terriers hardly got a look in, she accounted for over half the rats taken . i have an idea, heard good things about a border terrier x whippet ,game ,good coat, thick skin sounds ideal right ,don t want to slow the potential offspring down too much ,not so keen on beddy xs but want the pups to turn out small and game any thoughts fella s atb BB Quote Link to post

DazAllison 32
My own preference to use would be a 1st cross collie grey this would add good feet stamina good coat and a superb nose! Also another option would be a beddy x of somesort either grey or whippet Quote Link to post

Dan Edwards 1,134
Go find yourself a nice rough coated lampin dog that stands about 23" and give it a whirl. It dont matter what his so called percentages are. Use about a 23" rough coated lampin dog that does good and you should get what you want. 1 Quote Link to post
