it was an offer Nwcastle simply could not refuse, the player was obviously very keen as well, suits everyone, personaly I think Liverpool are barmy paying that sort of money for AC like most say he is far from proven, for that sort of money they need genuine proven class someone who can reignite the team  the price tag will put a massive burden on the manager, if he fails to make an impact Daglish is well and truly fooked :icon_redface:

Torres I think he will do well at Chelsea  dont really like him as a player, but he is class, bit suspect in the injury department, Chelsea Style will suit him better. Monies mad in the game nowadays, I honestly thought it would have bottomed out a few years back but even with the recession they still keep spending :icon_eek:

Chelsea posted a 70 million pound loss yesterday amongst all the other activity that was from before their transfers in the summer & yesterday. ..and that was in a year when they won the double.. New FIFA laws coming in a few years tying expenditure to turnover. Should be interesting to see what happens with some of these sugar daddy clubs like Chelsea & Man City...

it's definately reached a point where it is unfair on the rest just how much some clubs have to spend :icon_eek: managers at the lower end of the scale in the premiership are in an almost impossible posistion to compete :wallbash: I think the Expenditure to Turnover rules would make things fairer in the long run
