Bad night rabbit shooting ...

Recommended Posts

after getting new permission a few years ago we have done the rabbits for him ever since, spent alot of time feeding the river up and getting ducks flighting in. Me and Lamperman share the permission and the farmer was complaining about foxes on his land, the problem we have is it backs onto a gypsy site and they are forever digging them on his land he said he had enough and wanted them gone. we looked at where he was crossing the river and there was a big red pipe which we use to cross it. The snow came and helped us out alot, there was 3 places where he was crossing and some of them you would not belive thats where they were crossing the river, one of them which has half fallen across the river leaning against the other side but it will still be a good 8 feet off the river , the other is just a fallen tree but not the trunk it is all of the braches and hes jumping from branch to branch across them and another is a straight trunk across about 1 foot above the water. Me and Lamperman put the snares out and checked them daily, the other night we were out lamping for rabbits but there was not much about we walked around the snares to find the last snare he was there. I was over the moon as it was my first fox, there is loads where we go then the next day some one has walked around with a dog and tied them all in nots we were well pissed off so we have had to lift them for a while :-( but here is a photo of him hopefully we will re set the snares and get some more up soon
