scothunter 12,609 Posted January 29, 2011 Author Report Share Posted January 29, 2011 I grew up watching westerns and there will only ever be one John Wayne!! was my fav actor as a youngster.dad brought me back a book from the states about him.funny thing.he made 176 movies and only won 1 oscar for true grit. i can think of at least 6 he should have won them for.few facts were in that book about him.he smoked a carton of fags a day,and was in his contract that he smoked in his movies.drank like a fish and was actually pretty right wing.in this day and age he would be branded racist.
