Guest Frank
Lovely colour....if she has pups and they are all the same can i do a Cruela Devil and make a coat out of them MOLL. Ill give you the pick of the litter Moll, but wait till the pup mutures, like the fox in full winter coat. Thanks JDF. Iv just this minute got off the phone from the lad who bred my pup, he rang to see how she was getting on. He kept a bitch back, the litter sister to mine and he had her out lamping with the parents last night and the pup picked it up straight away, but he did not run her, just showed her what it was all about and he said everytime he swithches the lamp on now, the pup looks down it. I think that 1/2 hour ferreting is soon to come. Frank. Quote Link to post
pointer28 1
Frank, I know I've said it before and I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I absolutely LOVE that pup, would gladly give my right arm to have one like that. Maybe soon though, have a Greyhound x Whippet arriving Monday on the ferry, hopefully I'll have better luck with this one than the three I already have. I have a Brittany HPR that's only a HP, and won't bloody retrieve, but in fairness she's a cracking hunter. A Springer that doesn't like loud noises (such as shotguns) And a border x fell terrier thats afraid of the dark I must have been an awful bollix in a previous life to deserve this run of luck. Guest Frank
Thanks very much folks. I was out with her again today, with a ferret, some nets and the wind, cold hail, rain taged along I just went for an hour, did not want to bore the pup, but was amazed at how keen she was and great patients for a young dog. I bolted 1 bunny to the net and she was all over it, untill it screamed , she backed off a little, then went in for the crunch. A second bunny bolted out of an unseen hole, on the other side of the sheep fence, she took off, only to crash straight into the sheep fence , she was fine, but surprised a wee bit. She has learnt from it id say and we went straight home after that, with her holding the dead bunny in her mouth back to the car. pointer28, the best of luck with your whippet/greyhound, hope you have a gooden, post some pics up when you have her/him. Tina, thanks very much, its good to hear that and also, thanks to you PW, i hope its all worth it at the end. Frank. Quote Link to post
