bobby-b 1
Always be polite. I used to always ask for ratting and rabbiting permission as people tend to hate rats more lol. I also used to take my daughter with me as Mrs. Farmers wife in the middle of nowhere would not feel as uncomfortable answering the door as she would to some strange bloke stood there. Nearly all my shooting permission started off as ferreting permission. Same with the dog. I used to always start off ferreting then ask if I could shoot or course once they got to know me. I am going on some new permission tomorrow always as exciting as the first bit I got. That’s just to ferret but strictly no dogs as it is a racing horse and stud yard. Once they are used to me I am hoping it will lead to me getting shooting rights on there (silenced of course). Just knock on the door. Sorry I’m sorry to bother you but would it be possible for me to do a bit of i.e. ferreting, shooting for rabbits, rats crows etc. If the person who opens the door cannot help you then ask if you could leave your number and keep your fingers crossed. you might knock on a few doors before you get any but once you have got some off of farmer blogs after a while go to farmer blogs's neighbour and explain you already have permission next door and would it be possible to do some on his
