Lol kid, i know just how you feel.

We had a little family dog but i always wanted one all of my own to go everywhere with me. Parents kept saying No so i found a litter of pups free to good homes and got one (i was 13 so irrisponsible person for giving pup to a kid). I told my parents i'd found it on the main road and couldn't see it get run over. They made me put posters up everywhere "Found dog" and of course no-body claimed her, by then parents had fallen for my pup and i had her for nearly 17 years :tongue2:

i probably shouldnt say this, but when i was 14 after years of being told no more dogs i just bought a pup while my old man was away with work.

in the days my dad was away the pup grew on my mum and by the time my dad came back she was completely in love with it and convinced my dad to let us keep it.

it did have to be re-homed when i joined the army 3 years later though.

can you really say you'll guarantee to be there to look after that pup for the rest of its life?

if not dont get one yet, just go out with your cousins as much as possible and be patient.

we had a springer spaniel and we wanted ferrets so we bought nets and everything then found ferrets in the local free ads paper so we went to buy 1 and then there was 2 left and my mum said she didnt want to leave them on there own so we got the other 2 and my mum said thats it no more now we have 5 then we kept going on and on about getting a terrier for ferreting and my bro got a jack russel now 2 years later we kept comeing on this site showing my mum peoples lurchers and pups as she has a soft spot for lurchers and gray hounds and we found the liter we wanted our pup from and kept showing her the pics of the pups then we got a blue meral then a week lter she let my brother have one from the same litter also have plenty of money as i did save up and show her you have money for the inoculations and vet check and that so the moral of the story is to keep going on and on

do you have an older mate that could phone your house when your out with him and get him to say is such and such in and ur mum will go no as ur out and get ur pal to say aw im such and such i have a litter of pups he told me to phone me back about having one thats what i got my mate to do to my mum as we had the phone on loud specker and my mum was like yeah they can have a pup :tongue2:

At the end of the day lad its their house and if they say no then thats the way it is. You can keep working on your mum till she hopefully says yes but just going out and getting one is a stupid thing to do and could end up with both of you booted out or a poor pup getting rehomed more times than it should. It took me about 11 years of asking until I got my first dog and that was only because i'd been booted out of school and started working. I told my dad i'd train him to find golf balls too which swayed his decision I reckon :D

maybe walk neighbours dogs in your spare time and things along them lines, if you show dedication to doing that then they might say ye, plus if you get a coupla quid for doing it then you can save up and as someone mentioned earlier prove you can afford the innoculations etc. good luck
