craftyhunter 0
hi folks just joined the forum tonight seems to be some very clued up lads on here and im looking for some advice on which terrier to get to work with my lurcher, ferrets and hawk to push rabbits out of cover, marking and so on wont be hunting anything else just rabbits. never owned one before so im looking for something thats easy to train, good temperment and also something that fits into a family home with kids as well as being a good working dog. i like the look of the lakelands and boarder terriers but like i said i dont no much about the breeds. i know i might be asking a silly question like how deep is a hole but would just like your opinions please. Chid 6,493
get yourself a spaniel, a well trained spaniel will beat a terrier at bushing any day of the week... if your set on a terrier why not look at beddlingtons or plummers ... both make cracking rabbit/ratters ... Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
A spaniel would be more suitable...... Quote Link to post

STUNTMAN 552
If you get a terrier make sure your sight hound is 100% around him...LOL. allot of terriers have lost thier lives when they started some scruff and the sight hound obliged them Quote Link to post
