Personally I don't bike my dogs until they are 12 months old. Biking is hard sustained effort and the jarring on hard roads can damage their joints, tendons and ligaments. Especially with big, heavy boned pups. An hour's walk, partly on the lead and partly running around, but stopping running when the pup wants, not when you want, is quite enough for a 6 month old pup.

Edited to add: biking also builds up muscle which you shouldn't try and do until the skeleton has finished growing: big dogs don't finish growing their bones until at least a year old, though smaller types may finish sooner.

If the pup runs about then flops on the ground after 15 minutes it could be because he is hot: hot dog lie on the cool ground to put their bodies against the cold so they cool down faster. On the other hand, if he seems really knackered after a few moments it could indicate a heart problem: not common, but possible.
