baldockbanks courser 598
Took my two lurchers over the park the other morning at 6am for a really quick run. they managed to collide with one another at full speed head on. one bitch collapsed both lungs! and the other is badly lame now. after £370 to the vet so far the youngest lurchers lungs were re inflated, shes still critical in that they could collapse again but is doing well touch wood. The vet done a good job it was amazing really when I droped her off she could hardlie breath an hour later and her breathing was improved no end and I walked her home and have been looking after her inside. if she has 6 weeks rest shell make a full recovery Im told. Im sure all the " know it alls " on here will slaugter me for running two dogs together but iv exercised ( not lamped! ) multipul lurchers together for 15 years and never had a serious injury. The vet said it was a freak accident. there only 16 - 18 kilo 23 inch bitches hard to beleive how much damage occured. Quote Link to post

killa-combo 142
unlucky mate im in a similer boat, and i would say the reason for all the damage is because both there running towards each other at 30 mph for example, that would make a 60 mph collision if you get what i mean Quote Link to post
