I have seen that a lot of people on here prefer to work black dogs, my friend in Holland wont have a chocolate as they fear that in haste it could get mistaken for the fox. Some people say that chocolates arent quite as hard as the black so there you have another debate. Some people are quick to judge other people before having an interesting and educated debate about the whole thing. It would be nice for a change.

you seem too have quite a thing for the chocolate dogs sallie now if its not for work as you ve already said you dont work the dogs proper ie too ground you already have quite a few black dogs as you ve already said then why you looking a chocolate stud dog not as if you need young dogs coming on too give older dogs a rest from getting banged up as you only mooch about odd rat or rabbit here and there.i think its more a fashion statement or the chance too make a quick buck thats floating your boat and thats were the working dog s of the world suffer if i had my way only people with working ability in mind should be allowed too breed teriers but i ll just have too keep on dreaming .

Dont try the sympathy thing it wont work.People have spun yarns on here that they had parvo virus and leprosy what has that got to do with a hunting site.You advertised for stud dog thinking we were all f*****g idiots and could not see through you.You were caught live with it.

Sallie,if you are having treatment for your illness there is no way you would be able to look after and rear a litter of pup's let alone three litters in one year as you stated when looking for a stud dog!!!

Bit off topic maybe but Foxfan, the no woman near a working terrier thing you mention: I'm a (fat, old) woman and I do 50 or more hunting days a year with my terriers to wild boar, red deer, fox and badger, I dig and handle the game myself. This includes boar with the knife.

Not many women into the real thing, but I'm not into making money with my terriers either, threw the official papers out the window some years ago, so now my dogs are worth f**k all to those I don't want them with anyway.

I only breed for myself and have even culled healthy pups because I had not enough working homes for them, rather that than they end up as a pet, become frustrated, become a nuisance and be put down later yet.

A good working terrier is not suitable to be a pet I believe, they are hungry for hunting and even the quiet types will do weird things in the end.
