Lab 10,979
Yes they can eat it but as stated the salt content is high . I used to give mine a bit of rind now & again as a treat. If you do feed them any & it’s cooked make sure you chop it all up especially the rind as it can be hard for them to chew . "Hard for them to chew"......ffs! Quote Link to post

JoeD 24
I wouldn't feed any pork to my ferrets, too much salt in. Quote Link to post
foxfan 479
No no no, bacon will definately kill your ferts. Quote Link to post
stevethefish 80
Why would you want to feed ferrets bacon? go out catch rabbits feed ferrets its that simple unless anyone says that rabbit meat kills ferrets that is. All mine get are whole frozen rabbits and pigeons that I get, they eat it as it thaws and keeps it fresh as they do. My ferrets are in tip top condition and work their tits off, I'm sure some boffin will say thats cruel or something but thats my way, no dried food, bacon or cat food which is 90% soya and mine are not vegetarian like someone once posted.
